Curriculum

City Kids curriculum is integrated into our L.A. community where we partner with
organizations and experts in various fields to bring unique learning opportunities and
experiences to our students starting with weekly field trips in preschool and weekly field
studies opportunities in elementary. We emphasize the importance of developing
inquisitive, compassionate, global citizens through our work and play.

Core Curriculum  -  PreK thru 5th

City Kids pedagogy is founded in decades of research while simultaneously utilizing cutting edge resources to meet the needs of each student. Our approach is inspired by experts in their fields with a strong emphasis on global education and project-based learning. Subjects are integrated into engaging coursework. Students learning spaces were designed to be interactive, engaging, and age-appropriate, to fuel their desire to understand the world around them. Classes and projects are focused on empowering students to ask questions, develop ownership around their education, and develop a love for learning. Our pedagogy is rooted in both traditional and experiential methods encouraging students to find their passions becoming involved citizens.

Our curriculum is aligned with the following standards: Common Core, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), C3 Social Studies Framework, ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) and World Language California Standards.
