How to Apply

We know how important it is to find the right environment for your child to grow, learn, and thrive. Considering the importance of this decision, we ask parents to follow the following steps to process your child:

  1. Site Visit / Tour. Come see what it's all about and have all your questions answered all in one sitting!  Hosted by an experienced Director of the facility, each tour lasts approximately 1 1/2 hours and is conducted one Saturday each month.​  Registration is done online only by completing the online submission form.  Please note:  no children are allowed to attend the tour with you, so please make arrangements for your kids in advance.  (Families arriving with youngsters will be kindly asked to reschedule)

  2. Enrollment Application.  Once you've attended a tour of one of our facilities and have taken some time to think about whether City Kids is a good fit for you and your family, you are now ready to fill out our Application!​  Yes, we often have many families waiting for a slot to open at any of our facilities.  But please don't be discouraged!  Even though slots do not often open on a monthly basis, we are always intent on expanding our program and creating more space by opening additional centers and facilities.​  Also, please keep in mind that we do not always select families purely on the basis of first-come, first-served:  we are very deliberate in sustaining an atmosphere of diversity by serving minorities, under-privileged families with equal attention.​  We ask families to pay a $35 fee to submit an Application, which is ultimately credited to the first month of tuition if enrolled at City Kids.

  3. Wait for Notification.  Now comes the hard part:  waiting.  Once a slot has become available for your child, we will contact you to set up a time to meet your new teachers.

  4. Plan a Visit to Meet the Class and Teachers.  At this point, you've received notification that a slot has become available and you've accepted.  Hooray!  Now it's time to talk to a City Kids administrator to schedule a time for you and your youngster to visit the school during a school day to meet the teachers and other students.  

  5. Complete the Registration Package.  At any point after accepting an available slot, you may begin filling out the lengthy registration by downloading the forms and printing them to fill out using a blue or black ink pen.  *Please be sure to give yourself time to fill out all the forms needed-- on average it takes about 30 minutes.  Also be sure to schedule an appointment with your pediatrician for a health screening and immunization records for your child.

  6. Sign Up on Brightwheel.  Brightwheel is a free app for parents and teachers to relay status info, photos throughout the day, tuition payments, and much more!  It's an amazing tool, and though it is not required for parents to use, we strongly encourage our parents to download the app to their phones.

  7. Pay the Deposit and 1st Tuition Payment.  An electronic invoice is sent to parents for ease of payment.  Parents may pay through our Brightwheel app by connecting their bank accounts or paying by credit / debit card, or by mailing a paper check.  *Other additional fees will also be applied (see Parent Guide for details).
